The ball ricocheted off a defender and clipped Ronaldo’s heel on the way into the goal. But the officials did not see the touch and the goal was awarded to Cancelo.
When the ball hit the net, Ronaldo reeled away in celebration with his hand in the air as he claimed the goal. Despite it rightfully being his goal, fans still labelled the Al Nassr forward “shameless” by trying to take the credit.

On the other hand, Ronaldo’s fans believe he was right to make his claim with replays showing the ball touched the back of his heel. One argued: “This is his goal. Clear goal for him.” A second declared: “How was this not given as a Ronaldo goal. ” While a third said: “Hattrick for the goat.”
