Memphis Depay Poses with Liger and Flaunts Elaborate Lion Tattoo on His Back

In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic that has put football across Europe on standby, Memphis Depay, the Lyon forward, enjoyed a wild day in lockdown, posing with a liger and showing off an elaborate lion tattoo on his back.
The Dutch forward, who often compares himself to a lion, posted pictures cuddled up to the exotic creature on his Instagram account, captioning the wild pics with, “What happens when a liger hangs out with a lion?”

Depay has rejuvenated his career at Lyon after ending a nightmare two-season spell at Manchester United. He has recently been linked with a return to England at Spurs and Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton.
However, a knee injury he sustained in December has cast doubt over his appearance at Euro 2020 and any winter transfer hopes. His current deal with Lyon runs through until summer 2021, but Lyon is keen to tie their captain down to a long-term deal, according to L’Equipe.

Aside from his exotic animal encounter, Depay also expressed his love for the Netflix series Tiger King, which follows the life of wildcat enthusiast Joe Exotic.
The seven-episode true crime series has taken the world by storm and goes far beyond the world of wildcats and Joe’s undying hatred for animal rights activist Carole Baskin, taking center stage.

Both are hellbent on taking the other one down, but in addition to Joe and Carole’s story, viewers also meet a bizarre cast of real-life characters and scandals, including another big cat owner who is accused of running a cult and a drug lord who says he may have inspired Scarface.

Depay’s love for the Netflix series has led to speculation that he may be banned from participating in Rio Carnival season, following his red card for PSG against Bordeaux. Despite the ban speculation,
Depay’s wild day in lockdown and love for exotic animals and Tiger King series continues to capture the imagination of fans and media alike.
