Manchester United are reportedly keeping tabs on PSG superstar Neymar, with the Brazilian forward seen as a potential big-name transfer target if Sheikh Jassim takes over the club this summer.
Despite suffering from ankle injuries this season, Neymar has still managed to score 18 goals in 29 games. United had made enquiries about the player earlier this season but did not make a concrete approach.
Neymar’s contract with PSG runs until 2025 with an option to extend to 2027. PSG is looking to part with Neymar, but the player wants to stay.
Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani, a member of Qatar’s ruling royal family, is a front-runner in the race to take over at Old Trafford, and his bid is reportedly worth £5 billion.
If the Qatari investors succeed in their bid to take over Manchester United, Neymar could be seen as a marquee signing to signal their intentions.
