A leading Spanish politician has described the £250,000 Rolls Royce Georgina Rodriguez gifted her partner Cristiano Ronaldo as “pornographic.”
Miguel Angel Revilla, President of the Autonomous Region of Cantabria whose capital is the northern port city of Santander, blasted the star couple during a Spanish TV appearance.
Model and influencer Georgina, 28, posted Ronaldo’s lavish present on Instagram on Christmas Day, with the Rolls Royce wrapped with a massive red bow.
The former Manchester United striker took it out in Madrid on Thursday for a dinner with family and friends, before completing a two-and-a-half year deal with Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr. He will become the highest-paid sportsperson ever thanks to his £173million-a-year contract in the Middle East.
Speaking on a programme called Mas vale tarde on Spanish TV station La Sexta, Mr Revilla referenced the economic problems including high inflation currently affecting many people as he said: “I thought the present was pornographic.
“With what people are experiencing at the moment, that these things comes out on TV it’s not moral. These types of attitudes seem like hard pornography.”
Georgina gifted Ronaldo an eight-seater Cadillac Escalade for his 37th birthday in February. The pretty Spaniard watched on barefoot in a pair of pink jogging bottoms after opening the door of their Cheshire home to surprise the footballer, who was a free agent when he kicked off his fifth World Cup campaign with Qatar last month.
His contract with the Red Devils was ripped up after his explosive interview with Piers Morgan in which he claimed he felt betrayed by his then-club and didn’t respect manager Erik ten Hag.

Georgina’s gift is the latest eye-catching addition to Ronaldo’s fleet of luxury vehicles that is estimated to be worth a whopping £17m.
Ronaldo splashed out around $10.5m on a limited edition Bugatti earlier this year, with the limited edition supercar joining two others made by the manufacturer.
The powerful car is by far the most expensive of Ronaldo’s enviable collection, which also include a £1m McLaren Senna and a gigantic Mercedes G-Wagon Brabus.
