Portugal thrashed Czech Republic 4-0 on Saturday night, but not without some scares as Cristiano Ronaldo was left bleeding following a savage clash with goalkeeper Tomas Vaclik

Cristiano Ronaldo was whacked by Czech goalkeeper Tomas Vaclik and left with a war wound as his face poured with blood.
The 37-year-old led the line for Portugal on Saturday night in their Nations League clash against the Czech Republic, but was left requiring medical treatment inside 12 minutes. Ronaldo leapt for a trademark header, but Vaclik was also quick to react, and the pair collided.
Ronaldo was considerably worse for wear then the goalkeeper, who got up with ease following the clash. But Ronaldo did return to the action after patched up, although he was much quieter than usual.

Portugal thrashed their opponents as they stormed to a 4-0 victory away from home. However, the main surprise was Ronaldo didn’t score any of them, although he did assist Liverpool’s Diogo Jota with eight minutes to play.
Instead, Ronaldo’s Manchester United team-mates did the talking, as Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes were responsible for their healthy lead before Jota made his contribution.
Despite being a right-back, Dalot managed to score a brace on the night, while Fernandes grabbed only his second goal of the season. It’s a positive sign for United fans, although Ronaldo is still slacking in front of goal this season.

This effort came against Europa League minnows Sheriff Tisaspol, meaning Ronaldo is yet to register a single goal from open play in the 472 minutes he has spent on the field this season. It’s clear Ronaldo wanted to leave United this summer, and something has gone missing in the striker.
Many are expecting Ronaldo to return to form, as the 37-year-old has one of the deadliest eyes for goal the footballing world has ever seen. But Erik ten Hag is likely to lose patience if things don’t change anytime soon.
